March 2010

- Business has slowed a little giving us the opportunity to fabricate some of the furniture designs we have stored up. These usually consist of mid steel, hardwood, and sometimes tempered glass. You can check out our latest in the ONLINE SPECIAL section.

January 2010

  - We just finished up our first zinc bar top at the North Side Social in Broad Ripple. This is one sweet, large bar top. The zinc will develop a patina in shades of dark grey in a matter of months giving it an "old world" feel. Zinc was commonly used for tables, counters, and bar tops before the introduction of stainless steel because of its natural antimicrobial qualities. Please let us know if you are interested in zinc and we can show you some samples. Check out the pictures in the "Table, Bar, and other items" section in Portfolios

 -
Centerline was contracted to produce and install some mild steel and stainless steel elements for the new restaurant "Recess" located on the NE corner of 49th Street and College Ave. Check it out!

 - Also this month, Dane's reign as president of Primary Colours has come to an end. Although he will still serve as a consultant/advisor, he will no longer be an official member of the Primary Colours board.

2010 Beginning - let's get caught up a bit........

- It was confirmed at the beginning of the year that we have reached our fundraising goal to make the "Urban Silos" project a permanent part of the Indianapolis landscape! If you haven't visited them yet, please do. They are located on the SW corner of 38th Street and the Monon Trail. Now don't just drive by them and say you saw them, no, no, no. You have to stop and actually get out of your car. Take a few minutes to lay down on the benches and skygaze for a bit. Try it, you might like it. Many thanks to the Indianapolis Foundation, the Efroymson Fund, Andre Lacy, and Mary Sauer.

     -
Centerline Studio has acquired a laser etching machine! We are able to etch/mark on almost any surface. All of the tap handles for Sun King feature a leather coaster that has their logo burned into the surface. We are still experimenting with this new piece of equipment so be on the look out for new products and services. This new division of the company is called "Flashburn". Look for more info on the website in the near future.

-We started making tap handles for Sun King Brewery (Indianapolis) in 2009 and continue to to do so this year. Check out sample in the portfolio section (Special Projects). There is also a link to Sun King on our LINKS page.

2009 is lost somewhere in the time/space continumm.
